Serum N-Terminal Pro B-Type Natriuretic Peptide is associated with maternal complication in pregnancy with severe preeclampsia

Research linking N-Terminal Pro B-Type Natriuretic Peptide (NT-proBNP) levels with has never been conducted Indonesia. The aim study evaluate plasma NT-proBNP pregnant women pre-eclampsia and normotension find relationship between incidence.Methods This cross sectional was on thirty severe gestational age >20 weeks who attended underwent labor at Dr. Kariadi Hospital Semarang during period. Patients history chronic disease, underweight or obese, heart disease consumption drugs were excluded. Serum taken prior labor. Correlation serum physical characteristics as well performed using Mann-Whitney Spearman correlation test.Results significantly higher group, especially early-onset compared normotensive group (p<0.05). Increased are associated several complications, HELLP syndrome, pulmonary edema, retinopathy renal impairment.Conclusions complications.
